DESCRIPTION

   Power dan trafo distribusi adalah perangkat penting dalam penyediaan tenaga listrik. Peringkat mereka dapat bervariasi dari kecil trafo distribusi ukuran beberapa kVA sampai dengan transformator daya yang sangat besar dari 1.000 MVA atau lebih. Dalam hal peringkat tegangan transformator dapat memiliki tegangan operasi hingga beberapa ratusan kilovolt. Mereka merupakan aset utama dari utilitas listrik dan setiap pabrik industri.

     Kegagalan transformator bisa sangat mahal dan berbahaya bagi peralatan utama dan personil sama lainnya. Desain dan pengoperasian trafo apapun harus memenuhi persyaratan tertentu agar dapat menahan tekanan listrik, termal dan mekanik selama pelayanannya. Tes dan pemeliharaan transformator sesuai dengan standar yang relevan dimaksudkan untuk memastikan bahwa sebuah transformator akan memberikan layanan bebas masalah selama bertahun-tahun di bawah kondisi yang memungkinan untuk sebuah instalasi.
