DESCRIPTION

Pembangunan pembangkit, transmisi dan distribusi sistem energi listrik adalah bisnis yang mahal. Baik di tingkat sistem grid nasional dan industri lokal, dua aspek penting berada di jantung industri strategis ini. Hal ini adalah keandalan pengiriman energi untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pelanggan dan operasi yang aman. Pada berbagai tahap pengolahan energi yaitu pada tahap generasi, transmisi dan pengiriman energi, perlindungan personil dan peralatan adalah yang terpenting. Untuk mencapai tujuan ini, skema perlindungan yang akan dipekerjakan. Filosofi yang diterapkan dalam skema perlindungan apapun yaitu untuk menghapus kesalahan dengan gangguan sistem minimum, pada kecepatan tinggi, dan dengan cara yang sederhana dan ekonomis. Kursus penawaran dengan berbagai jenis skema perlindungan yang digunakan dalam jaringan yang besar dan yang digunakan dalam pabrik-pabrik industri. Kursus ini menggambarkan beberapa komponen penting seperti relay, pembanding dan pelindung gigi lainnya,serta teknik perhitungan yang digunakan. Kursus ini juga mencerminkan perkembangan terakhir dan apa yang baru di bidang  industri listrik.

Managers involved with energy management, Electrical engineers and Technical Staff who have to deal with the aspect of electrical and industrial power system protection, control and operation.

OBJECTIVE

·         Introduces and acquaints attendees with different components used in protection schemes.

·         Ability to perform some basic essential calculations required for relay settings.

·         Establishes confidence in dealing with protection schemes installed for protecting personnel equipment to grantee flow of energy.

Grounding in Electrical Power Distribution Systems

DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for engineers and technologists who are engaged in the design of power distribution system installations. The course is based on ANSI/IEEE Standard #80 “IEEE Guide for Safety in AC Substations Grounding”. It builds on the theoretical fundamentals of grounding and provides the participant with the practical knowledge and application to design and test the grounding system to ensure safety for those who work on the system as well as the public. In particular, the tolerable current for the human body and the maximum allowable step, touch and ground potential rise will be explained. Analysis of ground fault currents and how to effectively ground the system components will be discussed.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

Electrical Engineers, Project Engineers, Design Engineers, Plant Engineers or those who have a considerable understanding of electrical grounding and are responsible for the engineering, design, construction, installation, inspection, operation, or maintenance of electrical grounding systems in an industrial, commercial or institutional or utility setting.
